Claire's Magnetic Nail Polish

Since I have never used magnetic nail polish, when I saw this polish at Claire's I knew I had to buy it. I wasn't quite sure if I would like this polish. But I figured it was worth a try. I bought this Silver polish for 8.00$. After reading the instructions on how to paint the polish on, I decided to do a whole manicure using this polish. It was super easy to paint on! However, I was disappointed that the magnetic stripes did not show up like I expected but it was still pretty. I'm not sure if the lack of effect had to do with my lack of experience, the length of my nails or the brand of polish I used. One of my biggest concerns with this brand of nail polish was chipping. The polishes I have bought from Claire's in the past have chipped super easy. But this polish was great and last about three day. I would have lasted longer but I took it off, so I could do another mani.
Over all this polish was great!

Formal!!

I am so late with writing this post haha, but better late than never. Last month I went to a formal with a friend! I had a blast! Sadly I actually had my nails done with a friend and didn't do my own nail. So I will have no pretty nail pictures. But I did want to post are few of my dress! I will also be attending Prom so and I am most definitely doing some nail art so I will post that soon. I already have a few ideas in mind I just have to paint them.

Adventures On Pinterest! Chocolate Waffles

I'm sure most of you have heard or have discovered the amazing things on pinterest!! It has recently become my new addiction. I have decided that as I find things and recreate or make them. I will also be blogging about it. I will be labeling it Pinterest. So if you only want to view my Pinterest post, just find the button on the right hand corner and click on it.
One of my first adventures on pinterest was making Hot Chocolate Waffles. My mom and I were in the waffle mood one night. I remembered this recipe and decided to give it a whirl!!! It turned out GREAT!!!


~HOT CHOCOLATE WAFFLES~
3/4 cups white whole wheat flour
3/4 cup oat flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder
2 tablespoons sugar
2 eggs
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
pinch salt
1- 1 1/2 cups milk

I didn't have the oat flour so I substituted it for self-risen flour. I also used self risen flour for the wheat flour. Since I used self risen flour I cut out the baking soda, baking powder and salt. I ended up adding vanilla and 2 extra TBSP of sugar. These changes are not necessary and going by the recipe would probably be easier. Over all these waffles topped with condense milk, chocolate syrup, and marshmallows, are amazing!!!!!!!! Oh how I love adventures on Pinterest!! :)

Yellow and Black Crackle Tips

Hello my dear readers, sorry my slim blog posting lately. Life has been crazy!!!! Between my little sister being in the hospital, school, dance lesson and getting ready for prom, I have had very little time to write. However, I do have a few blog posts in mind. I just have to find some time to write them down lol.


Anyways, Back to the reason you all read my blog...Nails!! This week I wanted something Yellow and Black. After tossing around a few ideas I decided on something quick and easy but still cute! 

Colors I Used:
(Nameless) and honey yellow from L.A Colors, "Excuse Me" from Pure Ice and "Strobe Light" from Pure Ice Crackle

How I Did It:
Since I didn't own the shade of yellow I needed, I painted two coat of  the polish from LA Color under two coats of "Excuse Me" from Pure Ice. Once, that had dried completely I painted the tips of my nails in a diagonal shape using "Strobe Light" a crackle polish from Pure Ice. On my Index and pinkie finger I add a small cross-hatching design below my crackle tip. Over all the manicure took about 30min including drying time. It was super easy and turned out really cute.

Abstract Nail Art

This week I wanted some fun and bright!! So I decided to do a abstract, blue and purple nail art design.

This colors I used:
Base: "103 French Lingerie"
Tip: "370 No Hard Feelings" from Sally Hansen. "Splash" from Pure Ice, "Waterfall" from Revlon
Nail Art: (Nameless) from Stripe Rite, "134 French White Tip" from NYC,
"Pearl Black" and "Rock Star" from Kiss Nail Art, "Silver" L.A Color Art Deco

Cheeteah Print Half Moon Nail Art

I have done a simple half-moon nail design before but this time I decided to take it up a notch. I went with a Red tip and a cheetah print half-moon. I love the combo and I think it looked really good together.

Colors I used:
Tip: "Crimson" from Pure Ice
Half Moon: "420 Copperglaze Platinum" "903 Hot for Chocolate" "415 Totally Toffee" from Revlon

How I Did It:
I started by painting my nails with two coats of "Copperglaze Platinum." Next I used notebook hole protectors, cut in half and placed them 1/4 of the way up my nail. This is not necessary, but it helps me get the curved line curved enough. After I made sure the sticker was adhered well, I painted two coats of "Crimson" making sure not to paint over the sticker. Once this dried I removed the sticker carefully. Make sure the nail polish has dried completely before removing it. Or the wet nail polish may smudge or come off with the sticker. Once the stickers are removed, I used "Totally Toffee" and "Hot for Chocolate" to paint a cheetah print design. Over all this manicure is fairly easy and I loved the way it turned out.
